Charcuterie Boards for Weddings: Elegant Ideas for the Big Day

Weddings are a time of celebration, and a cheese board is a perfect way to elevate that celebration. When I design a wedding cheese board, I always keep elegance in mind. The key is to create a spread that is sophisticated but also inviting—a reflection of the couple’s love and their shared journey. I love incorporating artisanal cheeses, such as Brie, Gruyère, and aged Gouda, and pairing them with fresh seasonal fruits, delicate nuts, and luxurious touches like truffle honey or candied pecans.


For a personal touch, I often include elements that reflect the couple’s unique tastes or heritage. Maybe it’s a local cheese from the region they’re getting married in, or a particular fruit or wine that holds special meaning to them. I’ve created boards for weddings with flavors that are as unique as the couple themselves—an edible story that guests can enjoy while celebrating the couple’s big day.


My personal favorite is the Brie “cheesecake” – different sizes of Brie elegantly stacked to look like a cake, decorated like a cake as well. It gives the board a sophisticated look and feel and it makes the perfect central wedding piece.
